Guidance for our Clients/Parents/Carers and Students

Your health and well-being is paramount at Steph's Tutoring. Therefore, this policy sets out how we intend to keep you safe from the Coronavirus (Covid-19) and other infectious illness. Please note: This policy is subject to change and is updated regularly. Any changes to these terms and conditions, will be found on this website.

Coronavirus (Covid-19)

​

 

In the event that a student/or client is showing signs and symptoms of this infectious illness during a lesson, the tutor (Stephanie Sybliss) reserves the right to end the lesson with immediate effect. The client/student should not attend any tutoring lessons or come to a lesson if they suspect they are unwell. In any event of this happening; then a refund will not be issued. Equally, if a student attends tutoring lessons on their own; they should not attend if they have been producing signs and symptoms of the Coronavirus (Covid- 19). In the event of this happening; then the client/student will still be charged.

It is important that the client or student does not come back to tutoring until all of their symptoms of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have subsided. This is to maintain the health and safety of the tutor as well as other clients or students that attend tutoring. Other Infectious Illness 

​

 

If the student/or client has come to tutoring and exhibits signs or symptoms of an infectious illness such as: Influenza (Flu), coughs/colds, Chicken Pox or Measles; then the lesson will be cancelled with immediate effect and the cost of the lesson will not be refunded. If, however you have informed the tutor beforehand of an infectious illness and you cancel the lesson, you will not be charged. Again, it is important that the client or student does not come back to tutoring until all of their symptoms of an infectious illness have subsided. This is to maintain the overall health and safety of the tutor, as well as other clients or students that may visit The Learning Studio.

Cleaning and Hygiene 

 

 

It is really important that when clients and students come to The Learning Studio, that they can be assured of a professional, tidy and clean workspace; therefore all surfaces used in the lessons, chairs and equipment used by clients and students are always cleaned before and after lessons. This is in order to ensure the highest standards of hygiene is practiced at all times and to avoid the potential spread of the Coronavirus or other infectious illnesses.

In order to encourage good hygiene and the avoidance of an infectious illness during a lesson in The Learning Studio; it is important that students are encouraged to use tissues when they sneeze or cough and wash their hands; especially after using the toilet. Equally, they should make full use of any hand gels or tissues that are supplied for them to use in The Learning Studio; or use their own. The tutor (Stephanie Sybliss) will likewise be carrying out these hygiene procedures, to ensure a safe and clean learning environment.

Air Purifier

 

Where possible; especially during the warmer weather/season, the door in The Learning Studio will be kept open during lessons. This is to help stop the spread of the coronavirus, or other infectious illnesses; as well as encouraging clean air to flow naturally through the room. If it is too cold to have the door open; a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter will be used, which aims to improve the overall quality of the indoor air in The Learning Studio.
